Devon Zafuto, PA-C, is a Certified Psychiatric Physician Assistant at AIM in Chapel Hill. He has worked in psychiatry and addiction medicine since 2022. Passionate about patient-centered care, he shares knowledge on mental health and addiction. Devon understands trauma’s role in addiction and mental health disorders, bridging past experiences with current symptoms. Also, he proudly serves the local LGBTQIA+ community. Raised near Raleigh, NC, Devon is proud to call Raleigh his hometown.
Devon earned a degree in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Human Biology from North Carolina State University. He pursued further studies, earning a Master’s in Physiology from the same university. Most recently, he graduated from Barry University in Miami Shores, FL, with a Master’s in Clinical Medical Science. Upon graduation, he was inducted into the Pi Alpha Honor Society, the national honor society for PAs. Devon was selected for outstanding character and leadership during his studies. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA).
Devon is dedicated to providing optimal care, collaborating with other providers and staff at AIM. He values the clinician-patient bond, recognizing its substantial impact on recovery and outcomes. He aims to be an invaluable resource for patients on their healing journey, guiding them through their struggles. Devon sees patients as complex individuals and aims to foster the vital human connection often missing in healthcare.
