Clinical Therapist

Briana Barrett is a Clinical Therapist at Advaita Integrated Medicine: Advaita Integrated Medicine. She is responsible for providing mental health therapy for clients experiencing behavioral health concerns. Bri is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina and a National Certified Counselor. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education at North Carolina State University.

Briana earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English from the University of Virginia and a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina State University. During her time as an undergraduate, Briana discovered her passion for helping others through mentoring and peer counseling programs. She completed her counseling internship at Advaita Integrated Medicine’s sister organization, Green Hill Recovery in Raleigh, North Carolina and previously served as a Career Advisor for the College of Design at NCSU. She is currently working as a Research Assistant for the Counselor Education faculty at NCSU.

Briana loves learning about and growing with others through life experiences. She believes working with people to understand and define their lives on their own terms is essential to holistic care. Therapy should be a safe space for community members to continue on their wellness journey and Briana strives to create an atmosphere of empathy, authenticity, and empowerment for clients.
