Caitlyn Esparza

Clinical Intern

Caitlyn Esparza is a Clinical Intern at the Advaita Collective, which includes Advaita Integrated Medicine and Green Hill Recovery. Caitlyn is an undergraduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel hill. She is a double major,  majoring in psychology and sociology. When Caitlyn isn’t in class, she is advocating and bringing awareness  to mental health disorders and substance abuse disorders through her many organizational involvements.

Caitlyn has conducted independent research on alcohol usage among college campuses, focusing on which  students engage in more alcohol consumption, and why. Additionally, she has conducted an independent  case study on the ways in which alcoholism functions across the family unit, rather than just the individual themself.

When she is not inside the classroom, Caitlyn is extremely passionate about bringing awareness to the  dangers of opioid and alcohol abuse. Through one of her organizational involvements, she travels to  surrounding high schools to educate students on the dangers of substance abuse, and provide a lesson on harm reduction. During her time at the Advaita Collective, Caitlyn plans on getting to know each individual and their specific needs, in order to provide them with the best guidance possible!
