Jake Engebretsen, BS, CADC, serves as the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Program Manager at Advaita Integrated Medicine and Green Hill Recovery. With nearly a decade of experience as a high school administrator, teacher, and coach in private schools across North Carolina, Jake brings a deep understanding of mentorship, leadership, and community engagement to his current role.
Jake is also a graduate of the Healing Transitions program, where he completed his recovery journey in 2023 and began serving as a peer mentor. His personal experience with recovery, combined with his educational and coaching background, gives him a distinctive and compassionate approach to supporting individuals seeking meaningful change.
Since earning his Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) credential, Jake has been instrumental in leading group therapy sessions and program development. He draws on his unique blend of lived experience, professional insight, and interpersonal skills to create a supportive, structured environment for patients on their recovery journeys.
Jake is also a former collegiate athlete, having played four years of basketball at Guilford College—an experience that continues to inform his team-oriented, resilient approach to care.
