Admissions Coordinator

Lexy Carter is an Admissions Coordinator at Advaita Health with a background in psychology, criminal justice, and psychiatric care. She earned bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Appalachian State University, where she was recognized on the Dean’s List four times and was a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology.

Before joining Advaita Health, Lexy worked as a Psychiatric Medical Assistant and Spravato Coordinator. Through these roles, she gained hands-on experience supporting patients, coordinating appointments, navigating psychiatric services, and helping individuals understand their care options. Her experience has given her an understanding of both the clinical and practical challenges people can face when trying to access mental healthcare.

As an Admissions Coordinator, Lexy is passionate about patient advocacy and making the process of getting care as straightforward as possible. She understands that reaching out for help can come with a lot of questions, and she strives to be a friendly, knowledgeable point of contact who can help people understand their options and take the next step.

Lexy believes access to behavioral healthcare should not feel unnecessarily complicated. Her goal is to help individuals and families feel informed and supported as they connect with the services that best fit their needs.

Outside of work, Lexy enjoys thrifting, spending time outdoors, trying new restaurants, and relaxing with family and friends.
