Peter Blankenstein

Outreach Representative

Peter Blankenstein is an Outreach Representative for Advait Health. He is passionate about his own recovery, is a musician, and owner of two Great Danes. Peter has maintained long-term sobriety for over a decade. After being asked to leave UNC Greensboro in 1997, he decided to finish his degree 25 years later. In fall 2024, he will earn a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Professional Studies.

While working as a sales director in New York City, Peter pursued his passion for helping others stay sober. He joined Green Hill as a Case Manager, mentoring clients with his knowledge of the 12 steps of recovery. Peter combines extensive recovery knowledge with life experience, modeling how to apply these principles daily.

Personable and positive, Peter connects deeply with clients and team members. He realized he could enhance community impact by transitioning from Case Manager to Outreach Representative. Now, he networks with community partners and the local recovery community to connect individuals with resources.

Peter aims to use his recovery journey to inspire positive energy and hope for clients. Peter Blankenstein is very much a problem, solution, action, type of guy. He often says, “If you can’t find a solution to your problem, it’s not a problem—it’s something you have to accept.”

Outside of his professional commitments, Peter enjoys spending time with his family. He cheers for his stepdaughter at softball games, jams with his other stepdaughter, and relishes Sunday family dinners.
