Practice Manager
Shannon is the Practice Manager at AIM: Advaita Integrated Medicine, where she supports the people, processes, and day-to-day operations that help patients access coordinated mental healthcare. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. With more than 20 years of experience across education, medicine, mental health, and substance use treatment, Shannon brings a broad understanding of both patient-facing care and the operational work that supports it.
Throughout her career, Shannon has worked in roles that required balancing the needs of patients, providers, and organizations. Her experience has given her an appreciation for the many details happening behind the scenes that can shape a patient’s experience, from their first interaction with a practice through ongoing care. She also has extensive experience with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), including successfully implementing the model within a previous organization.
At AIM, Shannon focuses on creating systems that make it easier for both patients and providers to navigate care. She values being proactive, improving efficiency, and creating clear accountability while recognizing that good operations ultimately serve a human purpose. When administrative processes work well, providers can spend more time focused on their patients and patients can spend less time navigating unnecessary barriers.
Shannon was particularly drawn to AIM’s integrated approach to behavioral healthcare. She believes listening and curiosity are essential to understanding what someone needs, and she values a whole-person approach that considers more than a diagnosis or a single service. As Practice Manager, she helps support an environment where psychiatry, therapy, medication management, and other services can work together rather than functioning in isolation.
Originally from North Carolina, Shannon returned to the Tar Heel State with her family after living across multiple time zones. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, an interest that began while exploring the more than 11,000-acre campus at the University of the South.
