Andrew Orchowsky is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. He graduated with his MS in Counseling with a specialization in Couples and Family Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in May 2023. He is an outpatient clinical therapist at Advaita Integrated Medicine, which is a part of the Advaita Collective. Andrew works with a variety of presenting concerns/diagnoses and provides individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions.

During his graduate program at UNCG, Andrew completed his Advanced Practicum experience in the on- campus Vacc Clinic. There, he provided therapy services to UNCG students while receiving supervision. He worked with students experiencing many different presenting concerns including: stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem problems, eating/feeding disorders, trauma, and perfectionism. Also during his graduate program, Andrew completed a year-long internship at a private practice in Greensboro, NC. There, he worked with a diverse group of clients who were struggling with substance use, trauma, PTSD, relationship issues, systemic barriers, domestic violence, and dual-diagnosis/co-occurring disorders. He also co-facilitated a therapy group at the Vacc Clinic for couples in which one partner struggled with hearing loss.

Andrew is excited to bring his relationship and systems perspective to his work at Advaita Integrated Medicine. While he loves providing individual counseling services, he has specialized education and experience in providing both couple and family therapy. Andrew believes in the healing power of our relationships and is passionate about working with couples, partners, and families to improve their communication, repair their relationship, and heal together. Having completed levels 1 and 2 of the Gottman Couples Therapy training, Andrew believes in bringing evidence-based practices into his work with clients and providing them with meaningful tools that will bring about lasting change.

Andrew believes that integrated healthcare is the future. “We do not rely on just one person in our personal lives to meet all of our needs, why would we rely on just one health professional for all of our mental health needs?” As an outpatient therapist, he believes that working as part of an interdisciplinary care team will ensure that he is providing the best possible therapeutic services to each and every client. Andrew has seen first-hand through his internship experience the value that clients get from working with a close, collaborative team of mental health professionals and is thrilled to be able to provide this same value to clients as an outpatient therapist at Advaita Integrated Medicine.
