Clinical Therapist

Diane Mason, LCSW, CDBT, is a Clinical Therapist at Advaita Integrated Medicine, bringing contagious positive energy to our team. She offers therapy at Advaita Integrated Medicine’s locations in Raleigh and Cary, North Carolina.

Currently, Diane is pursuing her Doctorate in Social Work, having earned her Master’s in Social Work in 2016 from Salisbury University. Both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees focus on social work, women’s studies, psychology, and conflict resolution. Additionally, Diane is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

“My approach to therapy is using different lenses to observe and understand a person’s goals,” Diane explains. “My approach is informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy, trauma-informed and attachment theories, as well as ACT and CBT. We will work together to build your awareness of thoughts and emotions and to develop strategies to help guide you towards your goals. My approach also incorporates an understanding of the mind and body connection, so I will use that understanding to help you build awareness and offer another set of helpful tools.”

Diane’s diverse skills allow her to balance validation and problem-solving, supporting clients in reaching their goals. Her past internships included hospice and student counseling settings, while her professional experience primarily involves working with adults and adolescents in crisis settings. In both inpatient and outpatient crisis settings, Diane helped individuals manage symptoms related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationships.

Diane is passionate about helping individuals discover their “aha!” moments, set clear boundaries, identify values, and develop skills for emotional control.
