Kaitlin Gray, MSW, LCSWA, LCASA, is a Clinical Therapist at Advaita Integrated Medicine in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Kaitlin brings compassion, joy and curiosity to therapy sessions. Kaitlin completed her Masters of Social Work with a concentration in addictions counseling at East Carolina University. She previously interned with Ana Liffey Drug Project in Dublin, Ireland providing crisis support, harm reduction, homelessness services and case management to clients and is passionate about international social work. She speaks French and Irish conversationally and enjoys baking, crafting, and her ECU Pirates! She is currently completing her yoga teacher training certification and looks forward to using somatic experiences in future therapy sessions.
Kaitlin has previously facilitated groups for pregnant patients and new parents through the “CenteringPregnancy” and “CenteringParenting” models of care. She co-wrote and researched a scoping review on Asian American language justice titled “Asian American immigrants’ language accessibilities, interpreter training, and providers’ expectations. How can the medical community make language “justice for all”?” and will present at the Society for Social Work and Research conference.
Kaitlin is certified in Mental Health First Aid. She is passionate about cultural competence, community outreach, mental health, and substance-use disorder. She loves being able to guide clients to become the best versions of themselves, support them to reach their goals, and strengthen the relationships that are most important to them. She practices a person-centered, strengths-based, and global perspective approach and believes in supporting the whole person by meeting them where they are.
