Human Resources Professional

Lindsey Humphreys is a seasoned Human Resources professional, bringing a wealth of experience to her role as Human Resources Director at the Advaita Collective. With a background that includes key positions in recruitment and team management at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) and Wake County Health and Human Services, she specializes in strategic HR planning, talent acquisition, and organizational development. Lindsey holds a Masters of Arts (MA) from University of Virginia in South Asian Area Studies, underscoring her strong academic foundation in cultural and diversity inclusion. She will complete her MS in Human Resources Management  (MSHR) at Western Carolina University this summer. Lindsey is a Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. At the Advaita Collective, she leverages her expertise to foster a dynamic and inclusive workplace culture, aligning HR strategies with organizational goals.

 

In her previous role as a Recruitment Manager for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Lindsey excelled in orchestrating effective recruitment strategies and led various initiatives to enhance team performance and employee satisfaction. Her tenure at Wake County was marked by innovative leadership in human resources, where she implemented programs that significantly improved recruitment processes and employee engagement. Lindsey’s dedication to community service is evident through her volunteer work at St. John’s White Flag Shelter, her role as a founder of Illuminate NC, a harm reduction nonprofit, and her involvement as a member of the Wake County Opioid Overdose Prevention Taskforce. These roles reflect her deep commitment to public service and community development.
