Clinical Therapist
Madi Reynik, MSW, LCSWA, is an Outpatient Therapist at Advaita Integrated Medicine in our North Raleigh location. She earned both her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from Appalachian State University, where she focused on clinical work with individuals and families.
Her academic training also included specialized coursework related to autism, sociology, gender, sexuality, aging, and trauma. Madi is especially passionate about working with clients who may not always feel fully understood in traditional mental health settings.
Madi’s experience includes work across community-based, residential, and outpatient settings. She has supported adults and children on the autism spectrum, provided behavioral and skill-building services, and worked with survivors of domestic and sexual violence through crisis intervention, advocacy, and support groups. During graduate school, she conducted research on adverse childhood experiences, participated in community outreach, and provided direct support to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Since completing her degree, Madi has worked with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, including clients exploring gender, sexuality, identity, and nontraditional relationship structures.
Madi brings warmth, sincerity, and curiosity into the therapy space. She wants clients to feel comfortable showing up as they are, whether that means sitting on the couch, using a fidget, or bringing something that helps them feel more at ease.
Her approach blends mindfulness and somatic practices with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused strategies. She also has a growing clinical interest in parts work and Exposure and Response Prevention.
Madi works with clients experiencing anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, grief, neurodivergence, life transitions, relationship concerns, and questions related to sex, gender, and sexuality. She is particularly committed to serving LGBTQIA+ clients, women, neurodivergent individuals, and people exploring consensual non-monogamy or other nontraditional relationship structures.
Her goal is to create a safe, affirming environment where clients can better understand themselves, build practical coping skills, and develop greater confidence in navigating their lives.
