Outpatient Therapy Manager

Madi West, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Certified First Responder Counselor, is an Outpatient Manager in both our Raleigh and Cary locations. Madi aims to provide a welcoming and comfortable space for individuals to challenge maladaptive coping mechanisms, address changes they would like to make with confidence, and explore the thoughts and feelings that make it difficult to meet their goals.

Madi believes that each client is unique, the expert of their own life, and deserving of individualized treatment to best meet their needs. She values honest, direct, empathetic, and intentional therapeutic relationships.

Madi holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Central University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from East Carolina University. She has experience providing individual therapy to children, teens, adults, couples, and families across all levels of care—including detention centers and youth development centers, inpatient facilities, residential treatment centers, PHP/IOP, and outpatient settings.

Madi has also facilitated groups focusing on DBT, CBT, Solution-Focused therapy, goal setting, and crisis management to assist those working to live happier and healthier lives they deem worth living.

Madi is most passionate about working with folks living with depression, bipolar disorder, history of trauma, chronic and acute suicidality, self-harm, complex family dynamics, low self-esteem, shame, and lack of identity. She also specializes in working with first responders, military personnel (active and retired), and healthcare professionals.

As a Certified First Responder Counselor, Madi completes yearly updated specialized training that has provided her with experience, knowledge, and exposure to the unique challenges, culture, and societal perception of first responders—assisting her in providing the most appropriate and specialized care possible. Her passion for working with first responders began after volunteering to provide psychological first aid and assist in crisis management to first responders following natural disasters.
