Mental Health Therapist

Meredith Marion, MSW, LCSWA, LCASA, earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Master of Social Work from North Carolina State University, where she concentrated in Addiction and Recovery.

Meredith has experience working with individuals facing substance use and mental health challenges across outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), and partial hospitalization (PHP) settings. She believes meaningful change begins by meeting clients where they are and helping them recognize strengths they may have lost sight of.

Meredith’s background includes clinical, research, and community-based work focused on substance use and mental health treatment.

As an undergraduate at UNC Chapel Hill, she served as a research assistant in the Research Addressing Violence in Education (RAVE) Lab, contributing to studies on adolescent substance use and the influence of family and peer relationships. She also completed an internship with UNC Horizons, a comprehensive treatment program for pregnant and parenting women with substance use disorders.

During graduate school, Meredith trained at Healing Transitions and later completed a two-year clinical practicum with AIM and Green Hill Recovery, providing individual, group, and family therapy while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team across multiple levels of care. Her clinical training includes trauma-informed care, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and evidence-based approaches to treating substance use disorders.

Meredith is passionate about helping people build lives that align with their values and goals, even when they feel overwhelmed or uncertain about what comes next. She creates a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel safe to explore challenges, develop practical coping skills, and make lasting changes. Meredith believes therapy works best when it is grounded in authenticity, compassion, and evidence-based care. Her goal is for every client to leave sessions feeling heard, empowered, and more confident in their ability to move forward.
