Patient Care Coordinator
My name is Olivia Robinson, and I’m a Patient Care Coordinator at Advaita Integrated Medicine. My background spans both hospitality and healthcare, and I tend to bring elements of both into how I work with people—balancing operational clarity with a focus on making each interaction feel straightforward and supportive.
I attended the College of Charleston and am currently completing my degree in Business Administration at Wake Technical Community College. Before transitioning into healthcare, I worked in hospitality management, where I focused on building strong teams and creating environments where people felt welcomed and supported.
In my previous healthcare role as a medical assistant, I worked on prior authorizations, appeals, and coordination with care teams, while maintaining HIPAA compliance across multi-site operations. I also helped standardize workflows and trained staff on documentation processes. That experience shaped how I think about systems—how small improvements in communication and structure can make a meaningful difference in someone’s experience.
I tend to approach this work with the understanding that behind every appointment, question, or authorization is a person trying to figure out their next step. My goal is to make that process feel more manageable. I focus on clear communication, anticipating needs where possible, and helping connect patients, providers, and support systems in a way that feels more cohesive.
I’m especially interested in how strong systems and strong relationships work together. When those align, care tends to feel more consistent, less fragmented, and easier to navigate.
Outside of work, I enjoy baking and sharing what I make with friends and my community. I also spend time sewing, hiking with my dog Winston, and getting outside whenever I can.
