Clinical Therapist

Rebecca Capps, MS, LCMHC-A is a clinical therapist at Advaita Integrative Medicine in Chapel Hill, NC. She is a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and holds a Masters in Counselor Education from East Carolina University. Rebecca provides individual therapy for clients facing various issues, in person and via telehealth.

Rebecca’s professional experience began in an advocacy role during undergrad. She volunteered as a peer educator with the Collaboration for Assault Response and Education office at her university. Following undergrad, she expanded her focus through work with individuals and families in substance abuse recovery. During graduate school, she interned at a private practice and worked individually with clients to address mental health concerns.

Rebecca is passionate about supporting individuals throughout the process of overcoming barriers and becoming their most authentic self. She believes in equitable care and takes a trauma informed and culturally responsive approach to therapy. She values empathy, genuine curiosity, and the use of humor and believes that these qualities are vastly important in work with clients, her fellow clinicians, and the greater community. In session, she is dedicated to meeting clients where they are at and taking an individual approach that is tailored to specific needs.

Rebecca believes that in order to thrive, an individual must care for their whole being. This includes honest and supportive care where clinicians and medical providers collaborate to best meet their client’s needs. Her hope is that integrated healthcare gives client’s the opportunity to address their needs through transparent care and flourish in their lives.
