(RALEIGH, North Carolina): Advaita Integrated Medicine, PLLC (Advaita Integrated Medicine) announced a new partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) through their State Health Plan. Advaita Integrated Medicine has contracted with Blue Cross NC to provide psychiatry, primary care, and therapy throughout North Carolina.
Advaita Integrated Medicine Vice President of People, Hayat Shawwa, had this to say about the partnership, “Coming from the Wake County School System, I had first-hand experience with BCBS as a consumer under their State Health Plan. The level of coverage they provide is unmatched. For the high level of burn-out that public educators are feeling in this post COVID world, the mental health care coverage is no longer a luxury any longer, but a necessity; BCBS understands that and is being proactive about addressing that major issue.” Hayat Shawwa served at Broughton High School as their School Social Worker before coming on board at Advaita Integrated Medicine.
The partnership between Blue Cross NC and Advaita Integrated Medicine will allow more North Carolinians to access whole-person care – treating mental and physical health at the same time – through their existing insurance benefits.
