What is Outpatient Rehab?

Outpatient rehab treats individuals with substance use and mental health disorders. Unlike inpatient rehab, patients do not stay overnight at a facility. Instead, outpatient rehab provides structured care while individuals live at home. This approach is ideal for those needing ongoing support while managing daily responsibilities like work, school, or family.

We believe outpatient rehab should integrate various services for the best outcomes. Therefore, we’ve designed our program for a full continuum of care.

Curriculum Matters

We believe our program content is crucial. Often, therapy fails to reflect everyday human experiences, offering confusing and disorienting narratives. Instead, therapy should enhance your ability to navigate the world and maintain wellbeing. For this reason, we emphasize practical therapies in our curriculum. Many people seek treatment for addiction, substance use, or mental health issues. They often spend much time “exploring” their emotions. However, this exploration must be paired with skills to apply these insights effectively.

What’s in Our Curriculum?

Our outpatient rehab experience features a curriculum focused on practical, evidence-based therapies for real-world application. Therefore, we rely on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and the Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA). These therapies form the basis of our curriculum for effective treatment.

Discover the Comprehensive Support of Our PHP

We believe effective treatment should complement daily life. For this reason, our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is designed for intensive support without full hospitalization or residential rehab.

This program is ideal for those in acute phases who can manage nights at home. Additionally, it transitions to lower care levels like IOP. Our PHP maintains consistent relationships by keeping your treatment team across care levels.

Moreover, our PHP offers intensive therapeutic and psychiatry care. This includes daily group and individual counseling, psychiatric evaluations, and medication management. As a result, you can immediately integrate new strategies into everyday life, applying coping skills and maintaining stability.

Integrating Recovery with Daily Life in our IOP

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is based on the idea that recovery should integrate seamlessly into daily life. Often, someone starts in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and then transitions to IOP. This approach matches care levels with current needs effectively.

Additionally, we provide tools and support to handle real-world challenges in real-time. As a result, you can apply coping strategies and maintain stability across all aspects of your life.

Ongoing Support in our Outpatient and Recovery Management Group

Our Outpatient Program (OP) and Recovery Management Group offer a continuum of care throughout the recovery journey. Specifically, the Outpatient Program acts as a step down from our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Consequently, it provides flexible and less intensive care for individuals who have stabilized but still need structured support.

Additionally, the program includes individual and group therapy sessions tailored to ongoing mental health and substance use challenges. As a result, patients receive help in integrating coping strategies into their daily lives.

How it Works

Our Recovery Management Group focuses on long-term maintenance and relapse prevention. To achieve this, it offers regular check-ins, continued therapy, and community resources. Consequently, individuals receive ongoing support to ensure sustained recovery and wellbeing. Furthermore, this seamless transition from higher to lower levels of care provides the appropriate support at each recovery stage.

Support Throughout Your Journey with Psychiatry and Therapy

At AIM, we believe in the power of consistent, long-term therapeutic relationships. Therefore, our outpatient rehab experience lets you maintain your therapist and psychiatrist indefinitely.

This continuity ensures stability in your care. Furthermore, transitioning seamlessly from PHP to IOP, OP, and Recovery Management helps build a deep, trusting relationship with your providers. By retaining the same therapist and psychiatrist, you benefit from their ongoing understanding of your personal history and treatment progress. Consequently, this enhances the effectiveness of your treatment and supports sustained recovery.
