AIM Launches College Student Support Group!

Five people stand in a grassy field facing away, forming heart shapes with their hands against a blue sky.

Chapel Hill, NC– Advaita Integrated Medicine (AIM) is proud to expand the mental health treatment options for College Students, with the launch of a new College Student Support Group! This group will be facilitated by Cloe Egnaczak, LCSW-A. This group is specifically tailored to meet the mental health and wellness needs of college students as they navigate the unique challenges of academic life. With a strong focus on personal growth, stress management, and life transitions, this support group will offer a safe and structured environment for college students to explore their mental health and wellbeing in a supportive setting.

About the Program

This group is designed to provide targeted and comprehensive mental health support to college students, helping them manage the challenges that can arise during their academic journey. AIM’s new program is guided by a carefully designed curriculum and a curated group of peers, ensuring that participants receive both professional guidance and the benefit of shared experiences with fellow students.

The group will dive into all kinds of topics, from managing stress and building self-confidence to navigating life’s big transitions. We’ll also cover important mental health issues like addiction, giving you the knowledge and tools to tackle whatever comes your way.

Discussions are based on proven therapy techniques like Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), so you’ll not only process what you’re going through but also develop real-life skills to help you succeed in school and beyond.

Whether it’s dealing with homesickness, adjusting to the increased academic pressure, or coping with relationship changes, this group aims to support college students in managing their mental health with practical tools that foster resilience and self-awareness.

Therapy for the Real-World

A lot of therapy can feel really detached from day-to-day reality. This group is intended to be way different. It is all about creating a relaxed, supportive space where you can talk about the stuff that really matters to you. This isn’t a stiff, lecture-style session—it’s a fun and interactive group where you can dive into conversations that help you figure things out. Think of it like a team effort where everyone’s input helps guide the discussion.

Each week builds on the last, so you’ll get to explore new topics while also growing from what you’ve already shared. The goal? To build trust, keep things real, and help you get comfortable opening up about your experiences. You’ll get the chance to talk about what’s on your mind, listen to others, and walk away with practical tips to manage whatever life throws at you.

With a focus on real-world solutions, these sessions are designed to help you better understand your mental health, sharpen your coping skills, and tackle the everyday stress that comes with being a college student. We’re here to support your growth and help you take meaningful steps toward feeling better.

Who Can Join the Group?

This group is for all college students—whether you’re a freshman just starting out or a senior wrapping up your last year. If you’re feeling the pressure from school, struggling with life changes, or just dealing with anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges, this group is designed for you.

Who’s It For?

It’s all about helping college students at any point in their journey. College is a time when forming healthy habits that are the cornerstone of mental health is tough. Whether you’re juggling schoolwork, managing stress, or figuring out how to balance everything, this group will give you the tools and support to make it through.

What’s This Group For?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by life transitions, social anxiety, or school stress, you’re not alone. This group is here to help you talk about those struggles and learn how to cope with them in a way that feels right for you.

Who’s It Not For?

This group might not be the best fit for those dealing with more intense issues like active addiction or eating disorders that need more specialized care. The goal here is for everyone to be able to fully engage and connect with the group, so participants should be ready to contribute and be part of the conversation.

The process to join is super simple—just reach out, and we’ll get you started. Once you’re in, you can keep attending as long as you feel the group is helping you and you’re actively participating.
